Garry Spencer – Art Director

Garry’s original hairdressing training started at Headlines in Southport before moving to Philadelphia, USA, to work with Carmine Mandia in his Carmine & Co hair salon in Philadelphia. Carmine was respected as a prolific and hugely creative hairdresser in the States.

Upon returning to England Garry worked in a large hair salon in Preston, where he began to do creative hairdressing demonstrations and seminar work for hairdressing groups such as Paul Mitchell, Tigi, Schwarzkopf and Wella.

Garry has entered and won several prestigious hairdressing competitions including the L’Oreal Colour trophy (Northern Award) which is possibly the biggest hair dressing competition in the UK. This was followed by a series of magazine features such as Cosmopolitan’s Tips from the Top UK Hairdressers.
Garry plays an important role in all of Spencer Hair group’s hair photography and remains at the cutting edge of hairdressing fashion.
